HOTEL ST MORITZ
LAKE PLACID NY

Presentation Strategy:  Our approach to the St. Moritz was to honor the hotel’s history without recreating it. Guest rooms were designed to be warm and intimate, washed in rich tones, layered in velvet, linen, wood and brass, with custom details designed specifically for the hotel. Bathrooms mix brass, chrome and marble, reflecting the character of an interior that has evolved over time.

The Great Room moves to a lighter palette while continuing the same rich, collected vocabulary. Throughout the hotel, portraiture suggests the characters who may have passed through its doors. Some are playfully obscured with graffiti gestures, adding an unexpected irreverence while keeping the secrets of the St. Moritz.

The result is moody, layered and storied—mixing old and new, with history as a starting point rather than a constraint.
